At Heuer Hospital, our mission is to provide you with top level professional works supplying everything you require for the service, restoration, repair and purchase of mechanical Vintage Heuer. Working solely with Heuer pieces from 1930 until its demise in 1984.

Comprehensive Service
Be assured that your watch is in expert hands. We arrange the shipping and customs paperwork. You are required to pay a fee for a full appraisal that is refunded upon the price agreed undertaking of service work on your watch.
We ship you a transport watch box and prepaid envelope..you simply place watch in package and return it to us. We then assess your watch within fourteen days and give you a fixed priced quotation.
Full service on a watch not requiring parts is currently FOUR WEEKS.
Upon completion and settlement of the invoice you will have the watch returned to you with a memory stick of re-build images and video of timegrapher performance.

Repairs
Broken mainsprings
Within the mechanical movement the power is supplied by the main spring. These can break rendering the watch unable to run or running erratically. These springs are often the original one supplied maybe 50 or 60 years ago. Materials and manufacturing techniques have improved meaning that a replacement mainspring give a stronger power delivery to your watch. We are able to source and fit these to return your watch to working order

The mechanical movement used within Heuer watches has improved with the years - shock protection jewels being used to prevent pinion / axel damage is one example. Whilst this has definitely improved the "shock proof" performance of these movements - watches being dropped can still lead to broken components. We have all parts to return your broken movement back to working order.

The most delicate component within the mechanical watch movement is the balance staff and hairspring. The slightest damage or failure of this component will affect your watches performance. We have parts to repair this common fault. After replacement the watch will require adjustments to ensure the excellent timekeeping these movements can hold.

Vintage chronograph watches are not waterproof - often not even splash proof. Missing crowns or pushers often lead to water ingress and from that point disaster can easily occur. We have experienced many watches that have experienced water damage and we are happy to take on work on you watch when this has occurred.

Vintage Heuers can lead a hard life - these were tool watches back min the day. We see many pieces with missing pushers or crowns. Due to parts availability these parts are often replaced with incorrect items. We can supply and fit missing parts to your pride and joy.

The plexiglass / crystal / sapphire glass on the front of your watch takes the brunt of dings, scratches even cracks. We are able to fit new items to bring your watch back to its best. We also have a stock of tension rings for those that have one.

The dial or face of your Heuer is the single most important part. These cannot be successfully restored and so we have a huge range of spare dials available and we will fit this to your watch. You get the old item returned to you after this service. Just don't ask us about Monaco dials...

The luminescent material originally added to the hour (H) and minute (M) hands can be radioactive. It also darkens over time and is also infamous for falling out. We can replace with a "vintage" coloured material to replicate the original. No bright green or blue but a historically sensitive coffee colour to beautifully facelift your watch. Our aim is for it to be impossible to recognise that it has been replaced...

Many of the watches we see have had either incorrect or fake parts fitted. We have a large quantity of rare dials, hands, pushers , crowns etc available for us to fit to bring your watch back to correct specification.

As the ultraviolet light fades the luminescent paint added to certain dial styles - we can replace this with a period correct coloured material to bring the watch face back to life

The bezel of a Heuer takes a beating over time. These are very often dented, scraped and print worn through. These can be replaced with original equipment spares. A "new old stock" bezel can really bring a vintage Heuer back to its best.
We do not use pattern parts.

The Heuer Divers of 1978 onwards - 844's and latterly 1000 series, require testing following any service work - we at Heuer Hospital are able to certify your diver to 50 meters

Watches are typically available on small perforation black rally leather strap with correct Sun buckle or correct aftermarket Gay Freres beads of rice (BoR) bracelet at an extra cost
1962 -1984 Heuer Autavia
A standard bearer of the Heuer range of vintage chronographs. We old an extensive portfolio of first, second & third executions in both two and three sub-dial configurations. We then break into the automatic and manuals from the late 1960's through to its demise in 1984. Many rare & special editions are carried.
1963 - 1984 Heuer Carrera
A company favourite and with so many options available its easy to understand the continual allure of the Carrera. We start with the manual movement eggshell dialled of 1962 in both two and three sub-dial configurations through the staple of all Heuer collectors the 3646 / 2447 in silver (S) black (N) panda (NS) reverse panda (SN) through to the late 1960's introduction of the automatic Carrera 1153 and the manual 7753. We have a continual changing stock of standard and rare Carreras.
Heuer Monaco 1969 - 1974
If there is a more famous Heuer piece we'd love to know what it is. We hold both manual and automatic Monaco in stock. From the rare Transitional of 1970 to world famous "Steve McQueen" 1133B through to the more affordable manual versions...all with the tough to find great dials. This model is infamous for the "gasket melt" issue where the plexiglass gasket melts over time - damaging permanently the paint on the beautiful dial. We do not sell Monaco with anything other than great dials.

Heuer Silverstone 1974 - 1983
Introduced after the poor selling Monaco, the automatic only Silverstone initially came in three dial colours - Red - Blue and Fume. Running the famous Cal12 movement. A great piece of seventies horology we hold all colours. Reintroduced in the 1980's with a grey dial and Lemania 5100 movement these are really hard to find with a genuine dial. A rare bird...
